We collect as little as the product can work with, and we do not sell any of it. This page says exactly what that means rather than describing it in general terms.

Looking at the board

You can browse the whole board, see every price, and explore without an account and without telling us anything. We do not ask who you are until you buy something.

We measure how the site performs and how it is used in aggregate, so we can find pages that are slow or broken. That measurement does not identify you, does not follow you to other sites, and does not build a profile of you.

When you buy space

At that point we need some things, and we take only these:

• Your email address and sign-in. So the block is yours, so you can edit it and renew it, and so we can reach you about it.
• What you put on the block: your brand name, category, logo, website, description and social handle. All of this is public by design. That is what you are buying.
• A record of the purchase: what you bought, when, for how much, and whether it settled.

Card details

We never see them. Payment happens on the payment provider’s own checkout page, and your card number never reaches our servers. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, and the last four digits and card brand shown on your receipt. That is all.

Who else is involved

Running the product needs a small number of services, and each sees only what it must:

• the hosting provider that serves the site;
• the database and sign-in service that stores your account, your block and your purchase record;
• the payment provider that takes the payment and issues refunds;
• a link safety service, which checks the address you want your block to point at.

None of them are permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

What we never do

• We never sell your information.
• We never share it for advertising.
• We never email you marketing you did not ask for.
• We never put anything on your block that you did not put there.

How long we keep it

Your account and your blocks stay while you have an account. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Aggregate performance measurements are kept in a form that cannot be traced back to a person.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and your data. Ask through the support form. We will act within 30 days.

Deleting your account does not retroactively hide a block that was publicly displayed while its lease ran, and it does not remove purchase records we are required to keep.

Children

Bidboard is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this page in a way that materially affects you, we will say so on the site rather than quietly updating the date.
